Mix it up with Imaginisce!

If you are looking for the Simple Stories and Helmar Blog post...scroll down.  It is just after this Imaginisce post.

Hey...it's day 3 and I am up on the Imaginisce Blog today sharing a fun Mix It Up project, but I will share it with you here too!   I love mixing up collections and I often find myself doing just that.  I got a little crazy and mixed up a whole lot of Imaginisce collections.  I will have a list below of the collections I used.

Holiday picks are fun and I thought I would create a bunch of them.  These can be used in cakes, to decorate for a holiday or to embellish a gift wrap.  I made one for every major holiday including a birthday one.  Here's a look.

I decorated this jar and filled it with rice so that all of the picks would stay standing up.

Fun idea huh?  So, would you like to join in the challenge?  Here are the guild lines:

Create a layout or card mixing 3 Imaginisce collections.
They must use paper from 1 collection, chipboard embellishments from another collection & die cuts from a third collection.

We would love to see how you mix up Imaginisce products.  Share with us your creations on the Imaginisce Facebook Page!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Imaginisce Supplies Used:
Hello Cupcake Patterned Paper and Die Cuts, Love You More Patterned Paper and Stickers, Hippity Hop Patterned Paper and Die Cuts, Christmas Cheer Patterned Paper, Making Waves Patterned Paper, Monster Mash Patterned Paper, Canvas Stickers and Sticker Stackers.

Oh...One more thing!  We are still taking applications for the 2013-2014 Design Team!  We would love for you to join us! you can find out details HERE or click on the call below!

Epiphany and Simple Stories together!

I hope you have been enjoying all of the projects that the Simple Stories and Epiphany design teams have been sharing with you.  Today I want to share with you a couple of cards I made these cards using Simple Stories Handmade Handmade Holiday Collection and Harvest Lane Collection.  Epiphany's Shape Studio Oval 25, Bubble Caps Oval 25 and Metal Settings Oval 25.

As you can see I made the Metal Settings my main focus on both of the cards.

I cut this card out with the help of my Silhouette and hung the metal charm in the center using a jump ring an eyelet.

I used my Silhouette for this card as well and centered the metal charm in the center, but wait...this card has a surprise.

It opens up!  I used some velcrow to help keep the card shut.

I loved using Epiphany charms to help give my cards that extra special touch.

Simple Stories Supplies:
Harvest Lane Collection: 6x6 Paper Pad #2601, Wood/Tablecloth #2616
Expressions Cardstock Stickers #2603
Handmade Holiday Collection: Kraft Muslin/ Dictionary #2620, 6x6 Paper Pad #2701, Expressions Cardstock Stickers # 2703, Red Dot/ Santa's List #2717, Green Holly/Notebook #2718 and Fundamental Cardstock Stickers #2702

Inspired by Pinterest...a GCD Studio scrappy Christmas Trees

Pinterest is a huge source for crafty inspiration.  Today and I am excited to share with you a layout inspired by Pinterest.  So here's a look.

So, this is what I did.  I stared off by choosing how I was going to create my tree to make it similar to the idea off Pinterest.  I cut out a scalloped borders using my Silhouette...genious!

I then started adding them to my paper, making each one a little shorted than the last one.  I curled the scallops by using my nail.

See how it looks after I have made each border shorter an shorter.

Now, I just dressed it up a bit.  It didn't need a whole lot because the main embellishment was the tree itself.

Go ahead...try it.  I am thrilled at how it turned out.  Thanks for stopping by today and happy crafing!

GCD Supplies: Slendor- Woven Chevron #1686, Letter Tiles #1680, Boutanique- Elegant #1710, Country Charm- Strawberry Jam #1510

Other Supplies: Silhouette, Twine, Brad and Cardstock
