Good Sunday morning all. I hope everyone has enjoyed their 4th of July holiday. Today I wanted to share with you one of Samantha's Vinyl Word Arts SVG's, 'Chocolate and God', but I am not using it for vinyl today. I am going to show you what I made with it and a fast and easy way to create this project.
I really love this saying because if you know me, you know I love chocolate.
So, here is a look at how I put this together. I went into my Silhouette Library and double clicked on this image.
I need to change the size of this image so that it would fit in my frame. Go to the Scale window and size your cut. My frame is a 5x7, so I sized mine to 4.75 x 6.75.
I also wanted to take out the little circles out of the image so I right clicked and selected ungroup. This will separate all of the parts of the image. I then deleted the circles by clicking on them and hitting delete. Then I grouped the whole image together again by right clicking and selecting group. That way everything will be together.
Time to cut! I set my blade to 5 and selected the Double Cut because the Carta Bella paper is thick. Here it is.
Using the matting on the back of your frame, measure how big you would like the background to be.
I wanted my cut to line up perfectly, so I used the negative part of the cut.
I used a couple of sticky tabs that didn't adhere to my paper permanently and lined it up on my background paper that will go into my frame.
Using liquid glue, I put all the letters back into the negative space. Be careful not to use too much glue so it doesn't stick to the negative space.
Once you have glued your whole image down, peel it away very carefully.
This is what I ended up with.
See the cute flower. That is also one of Samantha's cuts just called Flower. So, if you want to search for it in the Silhouette online store, Flower is all you have to type in and it will come up. It is a spiral flower.
The paper I used to make this project is the Boy and Girl Giddy Up Collection by Samantha Walker from Carta Bella. Thanks for popping in and I hope you can use this tutorial to create something fun using one of Samantha's Vinyl quotes.
