Happy Friday all! Today I want to share with you a fun and easy way to dress up your Clear Scraps tags. I got these little acrylic scalloped tags from the August Clear Scraps Kit and the paper collection that came with the Kit is Bo Bunny's Key Lime Collection. In this kit I received a little something calledMud Puddles. It's a sand paste that adheres really well to just about anything and gives your project that extra added touch and dimension. I haven't used it before, but have heard about it, so I was excited to give it a try. Let's get started.
You will need:
Foam Paint Brush
Mud Puddles Sand Paste
3 Pieces of Bo Bunny Patterned Paper from your August Kit
Clear Scraps Clear Acrylic Tags
First off you will want to cut out 3 squares measuring 2.25 x 2.25 inches.
Next, measure 1.25 inches from each corner and draw a line.
Cut each line.
Now, get out your Mud Puddles Sand Paste. You are going to cover all four sides, front and back. Make sure you use some type of metal spatula or frosting spatula to apply the paste. If you don't, it will not apply to your paper very well and may waste most of your Mudd Puddles. Let it sit for a few hours to dry or speed up the process by using a heat gun or blow dryer, but make sure not to burn your Mud Puddles or paper.
Fold over every other corner and glue down.
This is what it should look like once all of your corners are glued down.
Next, you will want to peel off the thin plastic coating on your tags and paint the edges of each of your tags. I chose three different colors.
Finally, adhere your windmills to he clear tags and embellish. My first windmill was a little big for the tag, so the next two that I made, I did smaller 2.25 x 2.25 inches.
Now, you have some fun tags to embellish on your scrapbooking pages, add to a gift or embellish any other craft. Thanks for popping by today and I hope you have fun creating with the Clear Scraps August Kit!
