Today...Special Delivery from GCD Studios!

Hey all my GCD gals...have you been loving all of the new collections and awesome projects made by the design team?  Oh my...I know I have!  Today I want to share with you another fun collection and the project I made with it.  This one is Special Delivery by Heidi Sonboul.  This collection has such a fun mix of colors with a retro style.  So, when I first saw this...it reminded me of my cruise last January and I new these pictures were perfect.

I did a lot of layering on this layout.  I also added some flowers and leaf sprigs.  The colors of this paper were perfect and gave this layout that Caribbean feel.

Fun right?  This collections can be used for so many different projects.  I can't wait to do a layout of my boy with it.  Hope you enjoyed my layout and thanks for stopping by.

Authentique and Threm-O-Web...together!

I love the fact that we have so many amazing adhesive companies out there and Threm -O-Web is definitely on top of the adhesive ladder, but there is something I am so excited about and it's not just the adhesives.  Threm-O-Web has some pretty fun glitter products too.  Let me share!

I really need my projects to hold together because of all the dimensions I add to them.  So, on this layout, I used Therm-O-Web's ZotsSticky Dot Runner3D foam SquaresPink Glitter Dust Spray and Gold Glitter Photo Corners.

On these next few photos, I sprayed the Glitter Dust on my title, cut the clouds out from my 12x12 piece of background patterned paper and sprayed them with Glitter Dust.  My paper ruffles were sprayed with Glitter Dust as well.  I love the extra effect it had on my layout and everything is held together with Therm-O-Web adhesives!

Don't you just love the shimmer it has and how about those fun Glitter Photo Corners?

I loved the idea of Glitter Dust and best of all...it doesn't come off.  The glitter stays on on my layout were it should be.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you are enjoying the hop.  Make sure you have taken the time to check out Therm-O-Web's Design Team projects.  Head on over to the Therm-O-Web Blog.  Leave some love on the Therm-O-Web Blog as well as Authentique's Blog because both companies will be giving away a prize pack!

Imaginisce and The Twinery hopping together!

Welcome to day 3 of the Imaginisce and Twinery Blog hop.  What an amazing week it has been so far.  I hope you are enjoying yourself.

I love working with twine.  I find myself using it on almost every layout I create, so when I learned we were working with Twinery Twine...I immediately started brainstorming.  I had this cute cut in my Silhouette Library that I was dying to try.  I cut it out and decided that I would glue twine around the centers of the flowers and I just loved how it turned out.

So, if you love Imaginisce and The Twinery...I guess that means you wouldn't mind winning some goodies?  Leave some love on all of the Imaginisce design team's blogs and the Imaginisce Blog.  Make sure you go by the Twinery's Blog and their design team's blog because they will be doing a giveaway as well.  Here is a look at what Imaginisce is giving away.

Tuesday Tutorial using Samantha Walker's Die Cut Tags, Frames and Labels!

Did you know Samantha has so many fun tags, frames and labels in her store? Hi...today I want to share with you a fun way to use those, tags, frames and labels.

I like to think of different ways to use die cuts, so this time...they became the main focus of my layout.  First off, you will want to decided which die cuts you are going to use.  I used Samantha's Artisan Tags Ultimate SetFrame Shape Sets and Label Sheet.  Let's start!

Pick your tags, frames or labels.  You are going to want choose your first one and make it larger than it is.  So, highlight the whole group, right click and select ungroup.  Delete all of them except the one you are going to use.

Now, you are going to want to make it larger. I did this by simply dragging one of the corners out until it was the size I desired.  Mine is 10.400 inches wide and 10.400 inches high.  Once you get it to the size you would like..start cutting.  I am using Samantha's Traditions Paper and it is thick, so I set my blade on 6 and selected double cut.

This is what it ended up looking like.

I love dimension and I thought if I was going to do some layering, that I wanted to see all the layers.  So, I added foam adhesive to every new die cut.

Next, I selected my next die cut.  I did the same thing with this die cut as I did with the first.  I made it larger to work with the first die cut.  I cut this one at 6.615 inches wide and 6.615 inches high.

I did take the circle out of the middle of this one because I wanted it to be one solid piece.  Next...cut it out.

This is what it ended up looking like.  I used more foam adhesive to make it higher than the first die cut and centered it on top.

Next, pick your final die cut.  Now, you don't have to stop at three layers...you can do more.  I just did three.  For this one, I did the same thing as I did on the first two die cuts.

I made my die cut larger, took out the center oval and cut it out.  I cut this one out at 6.130 inches wide and 4.865 high.

Here is what it ended up looking like.  Once again, I added more foam adhesive to add to my layered look.

Time for embellishing...my favorite part!  I used Samantha's Traditions Collection to make my layout.  Those cute leaves...another die cut of Samantha's called 1 Piece Leaf Cluster.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope this inspires you to think out of the box when using Samantha's Die Cuts.  Check out Samantha's Silhouette Portfolio to see all of her fabulous die cuts!

Getting Crafty with the I Bond from Imaginisce!

I love the I Bond, especially because it's cordless, small and I can take it anywhere.  Today I want to show you a fun way to use your I Bond, Snap Rings and Snap Daddies...making rings!  Those  are your supplies.  Make sure you have some ric rac, 2 strips each measuring about 21 inches.  In this tutorial, I made 2 rings, different sizes of ric rack for two different looks.

First off  braid the ric rac together until you get to the end.

After it is all braided, secure the end with hot glue from the I Bond.

Next you will want to start rolling your ric rac...at times adding a dab of glue to hold the ric rac together.  Can you see what is forming?  A little rose bud.

This is what it should look like when it is finished.

I also made another one using larger ric rac and two colors...just for a different look.  When I was done make the bud, I folded some of the ric rac back to make it look more rose like.  I then attached it to a Snap Daddie and Snap Ring...voila!  I did not use the top part of the Snap Daddie because I just want to glue the rose straight to the bottom part of the Snap Daddie.

Now, I have to cute and different looking ric rac rose flower rings.  I added a little bling to my pink one using some I Rocks and the I Rock tool.  It's so nice that I can interchange these roses on the Snap Ring because it snaps off.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have fun with your I Bond.  Make sure you are checking the Imaginisce Blog all week long to see projects by the design team using the I Bond!
