Teacher Appreciation Week with Imaginisce!

I wanted to create something a little different.  Well, maybe it's not too different, but I thought it would be pretty clever to make a card and put it inside a little handmade crayon box.  As you can see from the pictures, this little box not only holds a card, but I added a little treat in there too.  I made this cute crayon box from a cut using my Silhouette Cameo.

What a fun surprise the teacher will have when she opens this little crayon box, maybe expecting crayons, and finds a cute card with chocolate inside.

Don't you just love the idea of a crayon box to hold the card.  I love it!  Thanks for popping by today and make sure you are checking out the Imaginisce Blog everyday this week to see all of the fabulous projects being created for our wonderful teachers.

Tuesday Tutorial using Samantha Walker's Woven Banner Set!

Happy Tuesday all!  I am up on Samantha Walker's Blog today to share with you a tutorial on how to put together Samantha's Woven Banner Set...one of her Silhouette cuts!  So, let's get started!

Start by going into your Silhouette library, find your Woven Banner Set cut and pull it up.  The whole cut will fit on one sheet of paper.  The best thing to do is select patterned paper that is double sided, so when you weave it together, you see to patterns.  Go ahead and cut it out.

Here is what it should look like after you have cut it out.

First you will want to take to pieces and place them same pattern sizes together.  I have found that you don't want to glue them together until you are done weaving.  You will have a total of six banners pieces when you are finished...two different patterns.

Start off by going by rows at the top.  Pull the underside pieces over the top pieces.

Weave all the way across from left to right.  The top pieces will now be on the underside and the bottom pieces will be on the top.

Start the next row by pulling the underside pieces to the top. Do this all the way across.  So, it is an over and under process.

Continue until the whole pendant is finished and then adhere all of the edges so that the pendant does not come apart.

Finally, fold at the perforated lines at the top to complete the look of the banner.  I used the Samantha's Cool Summer Collection from Carta Bella to create the banner and then I embellished it.  I used ribbon to tie the whole banner together.

How cut huh?  This banner is a perfect summer fun banner or customize it for any occasion.  Thanks for popping by today and I hope you give this cut a try.  It's way fun and so easy to put together.

Imaginisce I-Top Feature Week!

I love, love, love my I-Top!  I don't know what I ever did without this tool.  There are so many different ways to use this tool and all week long the Imaginisce Design Team will be featuring projects using the I-Top.  So, you will want to be checking out their projects everyday on the Imaginisce Blog.

I have always thought that the Button Daddies would be perfect to attach to some hair elastics.  This was so easy to do.  I threaded the elastic through the holes on the back of the Button Daddies and slipped the elastic loops through each other so it would stay attached to the Button Daddie.  These are way cuter than those plastic bubble elastics you can buy in the store.  I made a box to put them in because I plan on giving them away as a gift.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope this inspires you to take out your I-Top and discover the possibilities.  If you don't own an I-Top well, you best get one soon because you are missing out on all the I-Top fun.

Authentique and Hampton Art...together!

I love it when I have the opportunity to use stamps.  This is one scrapbooking area I struggle with, so this gives me a chance to dive in and play with stamps.  I love these cute stamps that Hampton Art put together for Authentique.

So, this is what I created.

My Silhouette is by scrappy best friend and this card cut was way fun to use.  The "Loving Life" stamp worked perfectly on the cut...cute huh?  I used embossing powders to create the desired effect I wanted on my card.  I love how the title stands out and that cute birdie too!  To create this card, I used the Strong Collection.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have been checking out all of the project done by both the Authentique DT and the Hampton Art DT.  Authentique is giving away one of their fabulous prize packs so make sure you are leaving comments everyday!

Authentique Supplies:
Strong Collection: Enduring #STR005, Clever #STR002, Marvelous #STR004, Handsome #STR003 and 8x8 Bundle STR009

I love how it the inside slides in and out...a fun way to store the sentiment, plus it was perfect for some fun embellishing.  I used Imaginisce's Petal Roller to make the gorgeous flowers.

Now, to deliver to Mom.  Hope she loves it.  Thanks for stopping by today!
