Stamping with Imaginisce!

Stamping always seems to be my weak spot, but when I say weak, I mean I am not very good at it.  When it comes to Imaginisce's Stamps...I think I do pretty good.  I love the deep impressions, making it hard to for me to mess it up.

I decided to heat emboss my images using American Crafts Embossing Powder.  I love how my stamped images turned out.

I love the butterfly stamp from the Welcome Spring Collection and decided I wanted it all over my page, resulting in what you see here.

Thanks for stopping by.  Stop by the Imaginisce Blog to see how the DT is using Imaginisce Stamps and please share with us on Facebook how you use Imaginisce's Stamps!

Summer...Silhouette Adhesive Backed Cardstock and Sketch Pens!

Well...this is my final project for Silhouette and I have really enjoyed my time being on the Silhouette Design Team. What a fantastic opportunity this has been.  I have learned a lot while on this team especially from the other amazing design team members.  Thank you Silhouette and Silhouette fans for all of the sweet comments and support.
Now, for my last project.  I never know what I am going to create until I sit down and start.  All I have to do is take a look at all of my Silhouette goodies and it always inspires me.  I made this fun layout using the Silhouette Sketch Pens and Adhesive Backed Cardstock.
Summer Adhesive Cardstock and Sketch Pens1
I sketched out the title and then cut it out.  I love the looked of this, specially with the white cardstock...it just pops!
Summer Adhesive Cardstock and Sketch Pens2
Like those cute clouds in the background?  It is a Cloud Mask Shape that I cut out using Adhesive Backed Cardstock and then I simply stuck patterned paper to the back to get various colored clouds.  So, easy to do and such fun effect.

Thanks once again to everyone.  I hope that you have enjoyed my projects.  Have fun with all of the Silhouette products because they are so fun to work with and the possibilities are endless.  I know I have a lot more projects to create using all of my Silhouette goodies!  Take care and happy cutting!

Lucky...A Clear Scraps Tutorial!

Good morning Clear Scraps fans!  Today I would like to share with a fast and easy tutorial using the new Mixers.  I chose the Wire Mixer...it is my favorite one.
Lucky1
Gather your supplies...your Mixer, ink and a shape that you either punched or cut out from a die cut or die cutting machine. I chose this four leaf clover since we are in the month of March:)
Lucky5
Set your cut out shape on top of your  Mixer.  I want you to know that I left the plastic coating on my Wire Mixer. That way, when I am ready, I can use the Wire Mixer itself as an embellishment on another project.
Lucky6
Add a second piece of paper to the back of the mixer.
Lucky7
Go in and ink and dab all around and in the mixer until you get your desired color.
Lucky8
Here is what it looked like when it was done.
Lucky9
Lay your shape back on top of the inked image you just created.  Make sure you line it all up correctly and then trace around it with a pen that is the same color as your ink.
Lucky10
Here is what it looks like.
Lucky11
Then finally cut around it.  Now, you have your shape to embellish your project.

Thanks for stopping in!  The projects this month have been fabulous and next month, we add more fabulous designers to our team, so make sure you are watching for that!

Silhouette's Washi and Corrugated Paper!

It's Monday again and I can't say that I am happy about that, but at least I get to share with you another fun layout using the Washi and Corrugated Papers.

I love the look of the Corrugated Paper.  The thickness is perfect for titles and helps to make them stand out.

My little anchor is the Washi Paper.  I did use some of Silhouette's Chipboard to make my anchor stronger.

How about those cute waves?  I love all the fun Nautical shapes that are in the store.

Today I would like to share with you a fun way to make your Clearly Accent Shapes sparkle. In your kit, you should have received the Clearly Accent Shapes Sewing.  They look like this:

Let's start...this is what you will need.
Your Clear Scraps Shapes
Mod Podge
Glossy Accents
Glitter
Sponge Brush

First off, remove the clear, thin plastic coating on your shape. Then cover the whole shape with Mod Podge, making sure you get good coverage all over.

While the Mod Poge is still wet, cover your whole shape with glitter and then shake off the excess.

This is what it should look like.

Grab your Glossy Accents and cover the whole shape with it.

It will look like this when you are done.  Glossy Accents takes awhile to dry, so be patient.
Glitter and glossy accents tutorial7
I did this to all of my shapes and used different colors of glitter.  The Glossy Accents helps to seal the glitter on.  No mess.

I used these shapes to accent this cute box I made from a Silhouette cut.  As soon as I saw the March Kit, I knew I wanted to create something about my dear Grandmother Ruth Steiner, who passed away a month and a half ago. She was an avid sewer and crafter.  I wanted to use this box to hold pictures of her until I collected enough to create an album about her.

You can use your Sew Clearly Accents shapes and this tutorial to dress up any crafting project.  This kit came with the Sew Lovely Paper Collection from Carta Bella. Thanks for stopping by and if you haven't got your hands on the March kit, you can find it in the Clear Scraps Store!
