A Couple of Cute Farm Cards!

Good morning!  I have a couple of cards to share with you all today.  I made these using the Heartland Farm Collection from Imaginisce.  In this collection there are these fun Die-Cut Cardstock Shapes that I thought would make the most adorable cards.

To make these cards, I used my Silhouette Cameo and designed these myself...so easy to do if you are a Silhouette junky like myself.

I cut a circle in the center of the cards and adhered these cut farm animals on.  On the inside of the cards I used some patterned paper from the Heartland Farm Collection.  It gave these cards a kind of 3D look with patterned paper in the background.

There are so many fun things to make with this collection and I look forward to making more, such a fun collection to work with!  Make sure you are stopping by the Imaginisce Blog to check out all of the fun projects the design team is creating and I hope to see you really soon with more projects with this collection...until then!

Memorial Day with Carta Bella!

Besides honoring those who served and died for our country as well as loved ones who passed before us, on Memorial Day, our family does love to get together for a BBQ.  I thought these oh so cute fortune tellers would make a great Memorial Day table decoration for our BBQ’s.

I frequent Pinterest as most do and I came across a project similar to this and I wanted to give it a go, so I've created this easy to follow picture tutorial for you!

Cut your patterned paper into 8 inch squares.  You can really do whatever size you’d like, but this the size I picked.

I used my Score-Pal and scoring bone for some of this tutorial, but you don’t have to use one.  You can simply fold by hand, after all isn’t that how we did it as kids?

When you have a completed fortune teller, turn it upside down and now you have a fun container to hold treats to put on your BBQ picnic tables when you have that Memorial Day BBQ.

After you have pierced a hole in the center of the upside down fortune teller, insert a shish kabob skewer down the hole.  Stick it all the way through so the skewer touches whatever it is sitting on.  This will help it to stand up.

Make adorable tags using Carta Bella’s or Echo Park’s Silhouette Designs, Designer Stamps, Designer Dies and Element Stickers.  My supply list is at the bottom of this post so you can see what I used to create the tags.

Finally, fill them with some sweet treats.  Use these cuties to adorn your Memorial Day picnic tables or around your home.  When you are done using them, you can give them to the kids and let them make use them as fortune tellers!

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you have enjoyed my project and I hope it inspires you to create something fun for Memorial Day!  Make sure you are frequenting the Carta Bella Paper Blog for more inspiring projects by the design team!

Always...A Heartland Farm Layout!

Good morning all...I'm back today with another layout featuring the new Heartland Farm Collection and my I-Rock!  If you haven't had a chance to get a good look at this collection...it is a must.  It has a fun farm theme, but can be used for more than just your farm or animal pictures.  This picture is of me and my hubs.  I wanted the layout to be bright and cheery, so I used white cardstock for the background to make my pictures and embellishments stand out.

So, how do you love my grid background?  I used my Silhouette Cameo and some Sketch Pens to created this.

This collection has some really fun die cuts.  I love the circle ones, so in combination with the new Enamel Dots, the I-Rock and Hot Rocks; I dressed my page up.  I love how it turned out and how they ended up framing the picture on my layout.

So, if you haven't picked up this collection...what are you waiting for?  This collection is really perfect for anything summer and I look forward to using it more.  Make sure you are stopping by the Imaginisce Blog often to see what the design team has been up to!  Thanks for stopping in and I hope I've inspired you to get crafty with Imaginisce!

Imaginisce Teacher Gift!

Happy Monday!  Today I'm sharing a cute idea for the wonderful teachers in our children's lives.  Even though my kids are high schoolers and think it's a little childish to give their teachers gifts, I still love making them.  I love the fun bright colors of the new Heartland Farm Collection and in combination with a little Family Fun Collection, this project turned out just as I imagined it. How fun is this little chalkboard?!

I used my Silhouette Cameo to create the title, flowers and banner.  I also used my I-Top to make the flower centers as well as the new Enamel Dots from the Heartland Farm Collection.

I absolutely love the die cuts from the Heartland Farm Collection.  The little pennant banner was a perfect addition to add to the chalkboard.

Here's a little fun tip to try when using chalkboard, try rubbing chalk on some stamps!  I used Imaginisce's Crayon Stamp from the Family Fun Collection.  I simply put the chalk on as heavy as I could and pressed down hard on the chalkboard.  It was a little light, but I thought it looked really cool.

I'm hoping one of my kids loves this project so much that they want to give it to one of their teachers!  Have you created something for those special teachers in your children's lives?  I hope that when you do, Imaginisce products are part of your creation!  All week long you will be seeing projects from the Design Team on the Imaginisce Blog!  Remember, we are here to inspire you, so make sure you are checking the blog daily!  Until next time...Happy Crafting!

Carta Bella Designer Die Shaker Card Tutorial

I get so excited every time I get new die cuts from Carta Bella.  I immediately start brainstorming what I would like to make with them.  Today I am going to share with you how I made this adorable shaker card using Carta Bella’s  and Echo Parks’s new Designer Dies, Phrases #1 and Summer Sun.

First let me show you the supplies I used.  Now, you can make your shaker card using other dies from Carta Bella or Echo Park; just follow the tutorial to create your own.

Supplies:
Carta Bella and Echo Park Designer Dies
3 pieces of cardstock measuring:
            1 @ 5 ½ x 11 inches (score in the middle at 5 ½ inches)
            2 @ 5 ½ x 5 ½ inches
Washi Tape
Foam Tape Adhesive
A piece of transparency or clear plastic big enough to cover the size of the die cut shapes
Beads or Sequins

First, I laid my dies down on one the 5 ½ x 5 ½ piece of cardstock.  I used the washi tape to keep the dies in place.

I then ran it through my manual die cutting machine and this is what it ended up looking like.

Then I used liquid glue all around the die cut images and glued on my pieces of clear, thin plastic.

Next using the foam tape, I adhered around the die cut images making sure to have all corners flush so that none of the beads could get out.  I decided I wanted my card to have a little more dimension put on two layers of the foam tape.  After I went around the images, I went around the whole 5 ½ x 5 ½ inch square.

I pealed off the back of the foam adhesive and added my beads.

Next I laid down a couple of different pieces of patterned paper and put them over the die cut images.

I adhered the last piece of 5 ½ x 5 ½ cardstock to the back.

Finally, I embellish my card and adhered it to the scored 5 ½ x 11 piece of cardstock.  Here are a couple of close ups.

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you find time try this out and use some of those adorable Designer Dies from Carta Bella and Echo Park! Make sure you are stopping by the Carta Bella Blog to see that latest projects to inspire you!
